Please be patient with yourself and allow yourself to mourn. I can only imagine how much love and joy your companion brought into your life, and for that love we may feel pain. Do know that you are not alone, and if you need to talk, we are here. Although this is will not take away what you are feeling, it can give you the space you need to remember and cherish what you shared with your precious one. When my Montey passed away almost 2 years ago, being around others who had experienced similar losses helped me learn so much and it allowed me to pay tribute to all he brought into my life, and continues to. If you live in the Greater Toronto Area, we are holding our next support group meeting this Saturday in Mississauga.
