Hi Sarah
Yes, we are in Ontario but you could try calling the Iams Pet Loss Support Resource Center at 1-888-332-7738 (Monday - Saturday 8a.m. t 8 p.m.) to try to find a support group close to you in Massachusetts. There is also Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine Pet Loss Support Hotline (508) 839-7966 Monday through Friday. 6-9 PM EST 24-hour voice-mail.
Calls from outside of Massachusetts will be returned collect.

You can also go to www.petloss.com and look under the section about support by group meetings and look under Massachusetts. Hopefully there will be a group really close to you that you can attend.
If you go to the link below, there are lots of articles there dealing with pet loss including feelings of guilt. We all seem to have them Sarah and I guess its because we feel like we should be ale to protect our little angels from everything bad. Unfortunately, we are only human and the very best that we can do for our furbabies is to love them and take care of them the very best we can - which is exactly what you did for Sam!
When you go to www.petloss.com, check out the other areas including the Monday night candlelight tribute ceremony. I found this to be a very healing, emotional thing to do for my Smokey and I hope it will help you too.
You can also check out www.ilovedmypet.com where you can create a free online memorial to Sam.
Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing and if there is anything else we can do to help, ok?
Thoughts are with you,
Terry
