Dear Franco
I want you to know that you have my sincere sympathy on the both the loss of your beloved parents, and also on the loss of your dear cat Frankie. It sounds like your Frankie saw you through alot of things, including the loss of your parents, and that he was loyal, faithful, loving and true to you always. I know from personal experience that when these four-legged family members are not around, everything changes. It sounds like the two of you had a very, very special relationship and that you spent alot of time together - for 16 years! When you have had someone special in your life for that length of time, your world truly does revolve around them, as their world revolves around you.
Franco, it can really be helpful if you can talk to others about how you are feeling and that's how we can help you through this. If you are in the GTA, please don't hesitate to click on our link at the top so that you can call one of our 3 telephone numbers and we can contact you by telephone. We also have monthly meetings in Clarkson. There is no charge for any support, Franco, so please don't feel that you can't reach out to us.
If you are not in the GTA, please feel free to email us and we can try to find some support for you in your area.
You may also want to visit a pet loss chat room (see link below) and/or post a tribute to your Frankie on the same website. This can be a very comforting thing to do too.
Franco, please try to remember that you did the most loving thing you could do for your beloved Frankie so that he wouldn't have to suffer any more. It is the most difficult thing that any pet owner has to do but also the one that is so unselfish and worthy of the unconditional love that your Frankie bestowed upon you.
Please feel free to post here as often as you like or to contact us, Franco. We really do understand and we really do care and want to help if we can.
With sincere sympathy on the loss of your beloved Frankie,
Terry
