My whole family miss her so very much. She got sick in December and I took her to the " Best Vet In Town ". I was told that the reason she wasn't eating or drinking water, was that we had not brushed her teeth so an absess on her tooth had got infected. We got anti~biotics and pain killers and were sent on our way, with an estimate of $ 1000.00 for a dental cleaning. A week later she still was not getting any better so I took her back. ( Big mistake ) We got more anti~biotics and pain killers and sent on our way. A couple days later I decided to take her to another vet for a second opinion. ( Should have done this sooner ) The second vet assessed her on her own before I told her where and what the other vet had told us. The second vet had diagnosed Babe with Masticatory Myositis. Babe was put on high doses of apo~prednisone along with 3 other prescriptions. Babe fought for 6 weeks , she really was trying. I slept beside her for days, feeding her and giving her water through special syringes letting her out when she needed to go. Her heart gave up on February 15, 2006 ( My Birthday )

Babe died at home in my husbands arms.
