Thank you Lisa,
The vet said the same thing, Babe was in the hospital on Valentine's Day. The doggy cardiologist was coming to look at her on the 16th ( the day after she died ). Babe's vet said that if I couldn't come and get her she wanted to take her home because Babe was such a well behaved dog and showed her love to all that were taking care of her.
I am feeling so guilty.....maybe I should have went to see the new vet sooner. ( I felt the first vet was wrong....but they are suppose to be the best in our city and we were already clients. ) Now I am wondering if those 2 weeks would have made a difference. I know you are not suppose to do the " What if's ", but I have a five year old who is missing her friend. Olivia wants her puppy back and she even made her a card at school ( a picture of a flower ). I am having a hard time dealing with the what if's and what could I have done better and I just don't know how to help my little girl. I told her the God was sad that Babe was sick so he sent down 2 ANGELS from Heaven to come and get her. Now that Babe is in Heaven she is not sick anymore. Olivia then said ( then Babe can come home if she is not sick anymore ) I told her that if Babe came home from heaven then she would still be sick and then I said to her " Would you want Babe to come home still sick ".
She said then " Can we ask God if she could visit at Christmas so she could get her treats that she couldn't eat this year.I know that Olivia is hurting but I don't know how to help her. She is afraid now that her cat is going to leave her as well. Does anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks, Catherine
