They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together You are already so missed by everyone who knew you. I cannot wait to see you again and have another game of "hide and go seek". See you soon; you will always be in our hearts.

As more than one year has passed since Michael and Karen's tragic loss of their beloved Lincoln, we wanted them to know that a donation was made in loving memory of Lincoln Lindow by a very good friend. Rest in peace, dear Lincoln. You are forever loved and will forever be missed.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

To Lincoln,
Where was my best friend when I needed you the most last year on this day
Not a day went by in the past year where I did not think of you
You are talked about often by the people you knew and loved you
I gave a speech about you when I got married and felt your strength on that day
I have your dog tag around my neck that will never be taken off
There is a tattoo of you on my shoulder blade because I know you will always "have my back"
I do not fear dying because I know that you are waiting for me and we will see each other again
You will never be far from our hearts and our thoughts
The world made a mistake when he took you away from us now I have a Guardian Angel to watch over both Karen and I
I miss you so much
Love Michael

To Lincoln my best friend,
I am so sorry I wasn't there to protect you, there isn't anything I wouldn't give to have you back. I loved you so much you were the best dog I could have asked for and the best friend I have ever had. You will always be "my dog". These are the things I already miss from you:
Playing hide and go seek
You waiting for me to finish my bath
Chewing my underwear
Seeing your face when I get home from work
You hogging the bed
You licking my goatee
The dog park
My jogging partner
Scratching my arm
Kicking me in the head
Are game of "staresy"
Making Karen feel safe
Our car rides
The cottage
Making me buy new sod every week
Your leather jacket
Going to the bathroom 3 times every walk
