I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved siamese kitty and now, the worry about your dear golden retriever. You might be able to find some additional support and information if you join the bone cancer list at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bonecancerdogs/ There are other people there who have gone through/are going through the same kind of difficult situation you may be faced with and they are all very helpful and supportive.
