She wasn't breathing normally. Took her to the vet's. Found out she had fluid around her heart & a partially collapsed lung. Prognosis extremely poor. We made the decision to put her down. She was 15 years old and my "shadow". I haven't stopped crying since Friday. We still have one cat left, Checkers (he's eight).I worry about him as those two grew up together. I would appreciate any words of wisdom as to how to cope and how this will affect Checkers.
