Posted by Laurien on 12/3/2006, 8:23 pm, in reply to "SAID GOODBYE ON FRIDAY NIGHT TO MY JEMIMA " One of my two cats died in his sleep on October 18, and I too worried about my other cat. The two cats were inseparable for the better part of 14 years, and I was worried sick that Chaussette would be really badly affected by the death. Well, in the way of these things, Chaussette seems to be doing just fine. I know that she misses Poubelle; we hear her meowing some nights after we've gone to bed. (After lights out was always when the 2 of them did all their running around the house in the dark and having all kinds of cat fun!!) But for the most part, she is doing just fine. She certainly spends more time sitting on my lap than she ever did, but I have to say she really seems to be doing ok. I know you will miss Jemima, and Checkers will too. But you have each other, and there can be great comfort in helping each other out through the rough spots. I hope this is of some help to you. Laurien

I am so sorry for your loss.
Either way, please know that I am thinking of you, and again, I am so sorry for your loss.
