This morning I euthanized my beloved Brussels Griffon, Trinity. She was a rescue dog and a true fighter. She was 5 years old.
Trinity's fontanel (soft spot) never grew together, thus she had balance problems. Her original owner didn't feed a good diet and she was malnourished and had osteoporosis at age one. Because of her malutrition and lack of exercise, Trinity couldn't walk on hard/slick surfaces and couldn't climb stairs. She was a fighter and learned to walk and climb stairs. She has been a great inspiration to me and my husband regarding overcoming life's obstacles.
This was a sudden loss upon returning from a worktrip. I don't know exactly what happened at the kennel but she was healthy when I dropped her off. I received a call while on the road and rushed home. I took her home, nursed her hoping she would recover, but alas, she did not. She was also known as "Bright Eyes", and "Boo Boo".
