There is also a website at http://www.bedtime-story.com/bedtime-story/rainbow.htm and a particular story called "The Rainbow Bridge - for Michael". While I am not sure that reading this story to your little daughter will necessarily be a help to her, maybe if you read it, it may give you some ideas about getting her to talk about her feelings about her dog. There are a number of books available through amazon.ca on pet loss and children, some of which may be more age approporiate than others. If you visit your local bookstore, they may also have something right on the shelves that would be of a comfort to your daughter. "A Special Place for Charlee", "For Every Dog an Angel", "Saying Goodbye to your Pet" may all be of comfort to your daughter and to you, too.
