Rusty turned 15 on August 13th.this summer his illness began with a bladder infection and it was quite severe.
Well he bounced back from it. Yesterday he stopped eating and drinking. Although I did give him some canned food which he did eat (he normally eats dry) but as a treat I would give him some. Anyway, I awoke this morning and found that he had defecated on my floors, and there was blood mixedin with some portions. I had to go to work today but my husband is with him.
I have a call into the vet but I already know what the suggestion will be; to bring him in for a final time. I am such a basket case and I hope I can make it home today (via TTC) in one piece.
Anyway I spoke to my husband and Rusty defectated again, with blood.
I have so many emotions going through me and it's tearing me apart.
I want cremate and keep his ashes and wonder if this is such an expensive thing to do. Thanks for any help with this awful situation. I know that it is our calling, every living creature on this earth but it hurts so much.
