Dear Mitchell
I've just now seen your message about your beloved Tasha and just wanted to extend my sincere sympathy to you for your loss. I know that Laurien and Louise have been able to 'talk' with you here and just wanted to offer a few book titles that may help you through this difficult, difficult time:
-Healing After Loss: Daily Meditations for Working Through Grief – Martha Whitmore Hickman
-How to Reach out for help when you are grieving – Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph.D.
-When Your Pet Dies: A Guide to Mourning, Remembering and Healing – Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph.D.
-Animals and the Afterlife – Kim Sheridan
-“How to ROAR: Pet Loss Grief Recovery” by Robin Jean Brown
-The Heart That is Loved Never Forgets” Recovering from Loss: When Humans and Animals Lose Their Companions – Kaetheryn Walker
-Coping with Sorrow on the Loss of Your Pet, author Moira Anderson
-The Loss of a Pet: A Guide to Coping with the Grieving Process When a Pet Dies (Third Edition). Wallace Sife, Ph.D.
All of these books are available in the HPPLSG Resource Library at our meetings. If you are in the local area and feel that you might want to join us, the next meeting is on April 26. Please feel free to email us if you need additional information about location/times.
Thoughts are with you, Mitchell. It sounds like you had such a special relationship with Tasha and if we can help, if only a little, we are here for you.
Thinking of you,
Terry
